Description

This tidy, dense, rounded variety tends to keep its shape all season long; small gray-green leaves are topped with well branched stems, carrying spikes of sky-blue and purple flowers; looks great all season in beds and borders

Ornamental Features

Cat's Meow Catmint has masses of beautiful spikes of lightly-scented sky blue flowers with purple calyces rising above the foliage from early summer to early fall, which are most effective when planted in groupings. Its small fragrant pointy leaves remain grayish green in color throughout the season.

Planting & Growing

Cat's Meow Catmint will grow to be about 16 inches tall at maturity, with a spread of 30 inches. Its foliage tends to remain dense right to the ground, not requiring facer plants in front. It grows at a fast rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 10 years. As an herbaceous perennial, this plant will usually die back to the crown each winter, and will regrow from the base each spring. Be careful not to disturb the crown in late winter when it may not be readily seen!
