This garden showcases a vibrant collection of native plants that support pollinators from spring through fall.

Spring. The season begins in late spring with the striking orange blooms of Butterfly Weed, which attracts monarchs and other butterflies.

Summer.  As summer progresses:

• Purple Coneflower and Mountain Mint take over, providing nectar for bees and

butterflies while adding color and fragrance to the garden.

• Black-Eyed Susan adds cheerful yellow blooms throughout the summer

• Anise Hyssop contributes aromatic foliage and tall, purple spikes that attract a

 variety of pollinators.

• Little Bluestem introduces ornamental grass with striking blue-green foliage that  transitions to deep red in the fall.

Fall. As the season winds down, the garden comes alive with the late-season blooms of Rough Goldenrod and Smooth Aster, offering crucial nectar for pollinators preparing for the colder months.

Winter. Leave the garden natural for winter. Dormancy is your garden’s way to thrive even if it’s not flourishing on the surface. Dead plant stalks are winter lodges for insects and eggs, and seeds provide food for birds.

These natural shelters, help your garden’s ecosystem thrive. Leaving leaves for mulch benefits your garden and provides important habitat for overwintering creatures.
